Wild World of Animals

The Best in Wildlife Entertainment and Education! The Wild World of Animals show is one of the premier grounds act in the entertainment industry. Its unique blend of animal diversity and environmental messages coupled with originally scripted non-stop laughter, especially an opinionated pig, makes for an enjoyable time for the whole family.

Have you ever held a 13-FOOT, 100-POUND PYTHON, starred into the eyes of BRUTUS, or unknowingly worn a safari vest filled with CREEPY CRITTERS? Our volunteers get to do that and much more!

The Wild World of Animals show is fast-paced and full of energy! The animals in the show range from arthropods, amphibians, reptiles, birds and finally mammals. Our audience learns interesting animal facts, laughs at their antics and witnesses their amazing natural abilities. Don’t blink or you may miss an animal running, slithering, jumping or flying across our stage!

Freedom in a Can

The road beckoned and they answered. Freedom in a Can is the story of Shari & Hutch, two 40-somethings who left their full-time jobs for a mid-lifeventure in their restored, vintage travel trailer. Shari & Hutch will be doing presentations on “Tips & Tricks for Exploring America’s National Parks” and “Gourmet Camp Cooking & Baking.”

Tips & Tricks for Exploring America’s National Parks

Do you dream of exploring America’s national parks with your RV?  Shari & Hutch have been lucky enough to visit nearly all of them while living and traveling full-time in their tiny home on wheels over the past 9.5 years.  They’ll share tips, tricks, and resources for getting the most out of your visit to the parks, accompanied with their stunning images.  Topics include: when to go, how to choose which parks to visit, what to do, where to camp, what to bring, how long to stay, and even how to volunteer. You’ll be ready to hit the road when spring arrives – maybe sooner!

Gourmet Camp Cooking & Baking

Love cooking, roasting, and baking at home? So do they, wherever they are! As experienced road warriors, travelling foodies, and outdoor cooking enthusiasts, Shari & Hutch love to challenge themselves by preparing delicious gourmet meals using the simplest of methods and quality foods. In this seminar, they will share their tips and recipes developed over 9.5 years of living on the road in their tiny trailer. Whether cooking over an open fire or two-burner stove, these methods and recipes are sure to make you a happy camper!

Pheasants Forever Youth Village

Pheasants Forever is educating and getting youth involved in the Great Outdoors at the Duluth Sport Show by bringing in their Pheasants Forever Youth Village!

The Youth Village is a free activity and will consist of a Safe Archery unit and an Indoor Sling Shot as well as a BB Gun Range where you can try your luck and also pick up additional information on Firearms Safety.

This is a great way to introduce youth to hunting and conservation, develop conservation-minded citizens and leaders, foster a love for shooting sports and safe handling of firearms while getting kids outdoors learning firsthand about our natural resources.

Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs. They also provide opportunities for youth and their families to share their outdoor traditions.

Live Trout Pond

It’s Fun, it’s Exciting, it’s Challenging!

The Trout Tank fishing experience has become a family tradition with many fishermen and families over the last 50+ years!

We constantly have people telling us that their kids are experiencing the same excitement that they used to have at the annual Duluth Sport Show!

Drop a line, reel in some fun and create some memories!

The Boating Skills VT is a USPS training unit funded by grants from the U.S. Coast Guard with advanced water physics developed by Virtual Driver Interactive (VDI).

The BSVT allows students to maneuver a “Boston Whaler” on a lake of 3.5 miles x 4 miles in a virtual mode where there are no other boats, no water and no risks. The helm seat sits next to a regular conference table. Exercises are built in to allow an instructor to direct maneuvers from basic to advanced by adjusting wind and current direction and strength.
