Fisherman Dan’s Off The Hook Comedy Stunt Show

Reel in the laughs at this year’s Duluth Sport Show! Fisherman Dan brings his one-of-a-kind comedy stunt show to the stage, blending fishing-themed humor with stunts you have to see to believe.

Dan will balance on a towering unicycle, juggle things no one should be juggling, and try to talk his way out of more than a few “fishing trips gone wrong,” all while pulling audience members into the act. Pro Fishing Tips – Mr. Crappie (Wally Marshall)

Wally Marshall, widely known as Mr. Crappie, was born in California and developed a passion for fishing at a young age. He is the owner and designer of Mr. Crappie Products and the Wally Marshall Signature Series. In addition to his entrepreneurial endeavors, he is a professional speaker who travels across the United States, delivering seminars on crappie fishing.

A true legend in the fishing community, Wally has achieved remarkable success, winning 26 national crappie tournaments. He is also a 32-time qualifier for the Crappie Classic and was crowned the National Crappie Champion in 2003. His contributions to the sport of fishing were recognized with his induction into the Texas Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame in 2023 and the Legends of the Outdoors Hall of Fame in 2008.

Ted Takasaki: Hall of Fame Walleye Pro

Learn from one of the most accomplished walleye anglers in the country! Ted Takasaki is a Fishing Hall of Fame legend. He won the 1998 Professional Walleye Trail (PWT) Classic Championship and was named the 1995 PWT Top Gun Angler. In 2002, he set the all-time one-day PWT record with a five-walleye limit weighing 53.2 pounds, and that record still stands today. Ted also served as president of Lindy Fishing Tackle for nearly a decade. He has hosted fishing TV shows and has been featured in national outdoor magazines. The Ten Commandments of Jig Fishing

The jig is one of the most versatile tools in the tackle box, and it’s also one of the easiest to get wrong. In this seminar, Ted breaks jig fishing down to ten essential rules. He covers picking the right jig weight and profile, matching your presentation to conditions, and finding the fish. Beginners will leave with a solid foundation, and seasoned anglers will pick up the small details that turn bites into fish in the boat.

Reinvented: Slip Bobber Secrets with Forward-Facing Sonar

Forward-facing sonar has changed the way anglers find and target fish, and Ted is putting it to work with one of the oldest techniques around. In this seminar, he shows how live sonar changes slip bobber fishing. You’ll see how to spot suspended and roaming fish in real time, place your bobber exactly where they are, and watch them react to your bait. Capt. Jarrid Houston is USCG, First Aid/CPR Certified and knows the ins and outs of handling the Great Lakes Duluth/Superior and the many surrounding waters.  Jarrid has a proven track record of successful outings through hard work and time on the water.  Growing up in the St. Croix River Valley region of Stillwater, MN and Osceola, WI, Jarrid has a love and respect for river fishing.  The St. Louis River is Jarrid’s strong suit.  As well as summer Walleye fishing and ice fishing on Lake Superior.

Pro Fishing Tips – Grant Sorensen

Grant Sorensen is the host and founder of Superior Angling. A native of Duluth MN, Sorensen grew up fishing area lakes and reservoirs and he took his skills further afield to the BWCA, Lake Superior and the St. Louis River. Superior Angling airs on WDIO and is about the journey, the experience, the fish itself, the learning, and the life lessons that fishing brings with it.

Pro Hunting Tips – Mike Hoops

Mike Hoops, hailing from Two Harbors, MN, embarked on his first elk hunting expedition to Montana in 1997 and began his professional journey as a guide for an outfitter in 2006. Currently, Mike serves as a guide for Wilderness Connections in Gardiner, Montana.
